Global GS Series 5″ Fluted Santoku (71GS90)

The Global GS90 5″ Fluted Santoku is an alternative to the chef’s knife. Great for cutting, chopping and mincing vegetables. The blade has a straighter edge than a chef’s knife, a hollow ground edge for better food release, and a blunted sheepsfoot-tip blade with a thinner spine. It can easily slice thin-boned and boneless meats, fish and vegetables.

The blade is constructed of a single piece of steel, with a unique convex edge for unsurpassed performance. The blade is made of the finest stainless steel called CROMOVA 18 (Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium), designed exclusively for GLOBAL that is ice tempered and hardened to hold the razor-sharp edge of the blade longer than any other steel.

The ergonomic, stainless steel handles are hollow and filled with sand to achieve perfectly balanced knives and optimal control. The signature dimpled pattern offers a comfortable, slip-resistant grip and the unique shape is perfect for using a pinch grip, it also creates a seamless transition from blade to handle making it very easy to just hand wash and dry, without worrying about stuck food particles.
